As a Greater Baton Rouge Home Appraiser, the question of school districts is always on my mind as it applies to valuation or worth. Well performing public school districts, like Zachary Community, Central Community, Livingston Parish and Ascension Parish attracts tens of thousands of new residents moving into these communities which attracts retail and business and all need real estate development to thrive.
So, where within Greater Baton Rouge are the highest ranked public school systems located?
And, read near bottom at how two of these school systems have improved rankings since 2013-2014.
When I asked, I was directed to this link for district scores and I couldn’t find any detailed outlined results here:
So, I searched The Advocate News online and found this article breaking down the latest numbers here:
“Sixteen districts in the state earned A ratings for receiving District Performance Scores above 100 points with Zachary Community Schools leading the Top 10 with a 116.2 score followed by Central Community Schools (111.2), Livingston Parish (109.5), Ascension Parish (109.3), St. Charles Parish (109.3), Vernon Parish (109), West Feliciana Parish (108.8), Plaquemines Parish (108.6), St. Tammany Parish (107) and Vermillion Parish (106.8).”
From these stats, I created this infographic below.
This infographic below is from The Advocate News and notice the improvement in test scores from say 2013-2014 to late 2016. Central climbed from #3 to #2. Livingston Parish climbed from #9 to #3. Ascension Parish maintained the #4 ranking.
