The Greens at Millerville. Stephanie Riegel at Business Report has a news update on a potential mixed use development including an Apartment Complex and Auto Dealership. MY OPINION: If there are single family residential homes built, the overall quality level will need to be lower and may struggle to sell if quality level is higher, just as Lakes at Stonegate struggled in that location and appears to be finished out by DR Horton Homes based on my last visit in there. And, Lakes At Stonegate, in the same location as The Greens at Millerville, began in 2006-2007 and still has some vacant lots. New Construction in East Baton Rouge itself is very expensive to build and in areas 42 and 43 or 70816 or 70817, homebuyers have generally opted for cheaper cost housing solutions. In other words, a builder can’t build the same home in Area 53 near Highland Rd in 70810 and in 70816 at Millerville Rd and expect it to sell for the same price.
