BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -Residents in Baton Rouge’s Garden District received some great news earlier this week as the community received some national attention.
“It’s fabulous and it’s a big deal,” said resident Ray Mack
That big deal is being named one the 10 great neighborhoods for 2012 by the American Planning Association. Historic residential architecture, a live oak tree collection and community involvement, are among the reasons the planning association provided for its selection of the Garden District.”
Baton Rouge Home Appraiser Opinion: This is why Garden District Home Values have performed so well over the decades. It’s all about Location, Location, Location and the beauty of the area. Having lived in Baton Rouge most of my life, it seems like in 70806 and 70808, it’s not the rat race like it is in 70817. Neighbors actually know each other…it’s more of a close-knit community in the Garden District. This is fantastic news that could bolster home values. Bill Cobb, Appraier
